Eumij Mariano

Eumij Mariano is the Chief Science and Technology editor of The Marynette, the official student publication of St. Mary’s College of Baliuag. During her first year of Senior High School, she started working with The Marynette as a Science and Technology contributor. 

In 2024, she began representing the school in the Schools Press Conference wherein she won awards in Science and Technology writing from earning silver in Clustered Schools Press Conference (CSPC) and in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) Phase II. 

For years of being part of campus journalism and participating in press conferences since elementary, she has always been passionate about writing news. Eumij began as an editorial writer in elementary school but eventually shifted to science writing in the Filipino category. She has exhibited her enthusiasm for science and creative writing through joining science quiz bees. 

Starting from being a contributor to becoming the chief of the science and technology section, she is fully committed to delivering science news, which strives for objectivity, integrity, and the truth.
