Paul Peeven Flores

A student journalist with a passion for science and design, Paul Peeven Flores currently serves as the Managing Editor for Communications at The Marynette, responsible for developing communication strategies and creating purposeful relationships between the publication and other public entities. 

His journey with the school paper began in 9th grade, evolving from a curious contributor to becoming a part of the Senior Editorial Staff, who has left their mark on both content and visual design as its former Chief Layout Artist. With ink-stained fingers from years of press conferences since elementary, Mr. Flores has demonstrated the art of scientific reporting. His competitive spirit shone brightest in grade 11 when he clinched multiple awards in science writing - from 4th place in Clustered Schools Press Conference (CSPC) to 7th in the Region III Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), proving that Filipino-language science journalism can excel at every level,

Beyond journalism, Mr. Flores serves as a Graphic Artist for Explained PH, combining creativity with informative storytelling. He won as a grand finalist in the Balagtas Cup Debate Competition hosted by Bulacan State University. Moreover, he has also participated in prestigious academic simulations, including as a delegate of Thailand (Socio-Cultural Community) in the 5th Ateneo Model ASEAN Meeting and as Senator Mark Villar in the 2nd iteration of Archer’s Model United Nations Senate at De La Salle University.

Beyond the newsroom, Mr. Flores is now in Grade 12-St. Therese of Lisieux, who continues to lead with innovation, precision, and a deep commitment to excellence, both in journalism and beyond.
