Freddievick II Melu
Managing Editor for Circulation
The outspoken Managing Editor for Circulation and Finance, Freddievick “Thirdy” II P. Melu.
At a young age, Thirdy was fascinated by the idea of writing. He started by copying the illegible scribbles from cartoons. Extremely proud of his work—he showed it to his older sister, who immediately dismissed his work. His sister told him, “That’s not the alphabet, those are just random lines!” And so, he made it his goal to learn how to write and prove his sister wrong!
Almost two decades later, he’s now in his final year of high school, and his penmanship? Well… to put it nicely, I guess one can say his intellect is especially unique.
But his mind, heart, and soul? Without a doubt, every vein and nook and cranny of his body is overflowing with passion and ideas! He never runs out of things to say, he always yaps and spits out words left and right. If Hamilton writes like he’s running out of time—Thirdy speaks as if the entire world depended on it.
He’s unafraid and outspoken. He doesn’t fear placing his purest thoughts and opinions on the table. He believes that for something to be resolved, it must first be acknowledged—but everyone fears doing so. Which is why he does so instead.
Once, someone called him a “Tyrant,” and what a fitting nickname it was! He likes to get his way—sounds very stubborn, right? Annoying as it is, you can’t deny that his gut feelings are more often than not correct.
After reading this biography, it sounds like he isn’t a great person after all… but I think otherwise. Despite his difficult personality, he cares more than you think. As loud as he may seem, he’s quiet and reserved when he’s alone with his thoughts.
In his silence, he’s conjuring complex thoughts and ideas regarding humans, society, and our very core as people. He’s observed every body language he came across, wondering what caused their actions. By doing so, he became extremely aware and lucid with every thought in his mind.
And this was all driven by one quote:
“God wouldn’t place a dream so big in your heart if you’re unable to make it come true.”
Thirdy was touched deeply by this quote. Nothing in this world is attainable without giving something in return. The Law of Exchange simply doesn’t allow this. Exchange your blood, sweat, and tears for things that’ll fill your mind, heart, and soul. Pay this toll, so that love and joy will always be within you.
