Aerone Justin Valerio

Aerone Justin T. Valerio is the Editor in Chief of The Marynette, the official student publication of St. Mary’s College of Baliuag. He oversees the editorial staff and directs all aspects of The Marynette’s operations—from story development and content standards to publication strategy and institutional partnerships.

Mr. Valerio joined the paper in Grade 8 as a feature writer. After a brief hiatus, he returned in Grade 10 as a columnist, later serving as Opinions Editor during his junior year. Across these roles, he has contributed to the evolving voice and vision of The Marynette, advocating for rigorous reporting and principled discourse.

An award-winning writer and campus journalist, Mr. Valerio has earned recognition at multiple levels, including CSPC and DSPC Column Writing, and DSPC and RSPC TV Broadcasting. Beyond journalism, he was honored by Ateneo De Manila University’s Ateneo Project for Asian and International Relations (APAIR) for crafting the best ASEAN Economic Community position paper in 2024, and participated in the 2025 Bulacan High School Debate Championship hosted by Bulacan State University.

Now in Grade 12–St. Margareth of Scotland, Mr. Valerio continues to steer The Marynette with precision, focus, and an enduring belief in the responsibility of the student press.
