John Andrei Policarpio

John Andrei C. Policarpio is the Chief Photojournalist of The Marynette, the official student publication of St. Mary’s College of Baliuag. He leads the paper’s visual coverage, curating and producing photo content that upholds the publication’s editorial standards while capturing the spirit of the Ignacian Marian community.

Mr. Policarpio joined the paper in Grade 9 as a photojournalist. He was appointed Chief Photojournalist in Grade 10, a position he continues to hold. Alongside his work with The Marynette, he has contributed extensively to various school offices and organizations, including the Student Government, the Eco Ambassadors Organization, and the Marketing Office. He served as SG Photographer in Grade 10 and currently heads documentation for both the Student Government and EAO.

In 2024, he took part in the Ateneo Model ASEAN Meet as a delegate to the ASEAN Political Security Community (APSC) Council, deepening his engagement with regional affairs and multilateral diplomacy. That same year, he continued to expand his visual work beyond campus. His photographs have been featured by China Airlines and Aviation Updates Philippines, and over 200 of his aviation photographs have been screened and accepted on JetPhotos, the world’s largest aviation photography platform. His lens has captured everything from commercial aircraft to members of congress. He also serves as photographer for the Conception Inmaculada Parish in Baliwag.

Mr. Policarpio brings to his work a sharp eye, a disciplined craft, and a deep respect for visual storytelling in public life.
