Her journey with The Marynette began in her third year of high school, initially serving as the Managing Editor for Circulation and as the Science and Technology Editor. That same year, she began representing the school in various writing competitions. The first-timer writer competed in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay at Baliwag City Private Schools Association (BaCiPriSA), then won in Pagsulat ng Editoryal at the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC), which advanced her to the 2024 Provincial Schools Press Conference.
In the following year, she shifted to English categories, earning gold in Essay Writing at BaCiPrisa, silver in Editorial Writing at the City Schools Press Conference (CSPC), and back-to-back golds in both phases of the DSPC. Her streak continued after another gold in Essay Writing at the BulPriSA Provincials, before wrapping up her junior high writing journey at the Regional Schools Press Conference. In recognition of her achievements, she was awarded Outstanding Performance in Communication Arts.
Beyond writing, she also holds leadership positions across various school organisations. She previously served as representative and auditor of the IBEd Student Government and as the research committee head of the Eco-ambassadors’ Organisation (EAO). At present, apart from taking part in The Marynette, she serves as the class president and holds the position of external vice president of the EAO.
In her first term as the associate editor, she introduced the idea of launching a website during early editorial staff meetings. And recently, Managing Editor for Communications Paul Peeven Flores led the successful development of the site under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief Aerone Justin Valerio.
