In Foundation, students embark on an exciting journey of discovery as they acclimate to the vibrant world of their school and classroom routine through a series of transformative transition experiences. Imagine the thrill as they are welcomed alongside the current Foundation students, diving into their very first Investigation Time—a magical moment where the seeds of investigative curiosity blossom in a nurturing school environment. This is not just an introduction; it’s an invitation to explore, to question, and to connect with the joy of learning that surrounds them.
As they engage in various whole group transitions, they begin to forge connections with their peers, teachers, and the school community that will support them in the year ahead. The heartwarming experience of meeting their Year 5 buddies creates lasting bonds, as these mentors guide them with kindness and encouragement. This partnership extends over two years, serving as a cherished lifeline that eases their transition into Foundation and Year 1, fostering a sense of belonging and confidence.
Four mornings a week, students eagerly look forward to Investigation Time, where they become the Focus Student on a fortnightly rotation. In these moments, they beautifully intertwine their personal interests with new skills, guided by the gentle encouragement of their teachers, igniting a passion for knowledge that fuels their curiosity.
In addition to their core activities, they explore their creativity and talents in specialist subjects like Art, Music, Physical Education, STEM, and Italian, taught passionately by dedicated specialist teachers once a week.

Beyond the classroom, students embark on thrilling adventures outside of school, participating in swimming and gymnastics. They also join their Year 1/2 peers for an unforgettable all-day excursion, a rich experience that deepens their understanding of the curriculum while creating memories that will last a lifetime. This is more than education; it is the beginning of a remarkable journey filled with discovery, connection, and growth.
