St Liborius Parish Sacramental Program

Students in Year three and above are invited to continue their faith journey and participate in the St Liborius Parish Sacramental Program. The program involves receiving the sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and Eucharist. Students are supported by members of the parish, staff from St Liborius Primary School and their parents during this journey. Understanding of these sacraments is further enhanced through the school’s Religious Education curriculum.

Religious Education

All schools in the Sandhurst Diocese use the ‘Source of Life’ program as the core document for the Religious Education curriculum. The program compliments the Catholic Identity of St. Liborius Primary School and provides a culture for our students to develop their understanding of a purposeful life through the teaching of Jesus.

As part of our Catholic Identity, students participate in a range of liturgy experiences. Students, staff, parents and parishioners come together to celebrate Mass on important feast days and through weekly class Masses. Prayer is a daily focus, with students and staff reflecting on traditional prayers as well as our school prayer.

The charism of our school and the involvement of the Sisters of St. Joseph and Sisters of Mercy is embedded throughout our everyday activity. Their characteristics and influence are reflected within our Catholic Identity and Religious Education curriculum.
