About

Lindsay Smith is an American actress, singer and a San Luis Obispo High School alumna who served as the President of SLOHS Performing Arts from 2021 to 2023. Smith gained notability in 2020 when she landed one of the leading roles in the SLOHS adaptation of Rent, a rare honor for a freshman. Smith has since performed in leading roles in Much Ado About Nothing (2021), Clue (2021), and Wizard of Oz (2022).

On April 21, 2022, Smith's revival of Much Ado About Nothing was greenlit as the closing production of the 2021–22 season; the show, however, was ultimately canceled due to COVID-19. Smith made her directorial debut in fall 2022, leading the annual 24-Hour Musical.

Smith was elected the first President of SLOHS Performing Arts on May 11, 2021. She assumed office on August 19, 2021. Her presidency is the first in over a decade to have multiple vice presidents.

Smith was on the 2021–2022 Improv A-Team.
