A series of SQA qualifications established within our school curriculum, encouraging our pupils to explore factors that influence personal wellbeing and to look at connections between mental, emotional, social and physical health. Pupils are encouraged to look at different ideas of health and wellbeing at a personal and societal level, whilst providing an opportunity to gain SQA accreditation.
An early intervention strategy aimed to provide pupils with an informal environment to open up and discuss their thoughts and feelings. Allowing pupils to choose their mentor, pupils have regular, scheduled sessions aimed at fostering positive relationships.
A range of activities aimed at developing our pupils’ Spiritual, Mental, Emotional and Physical wellbeing.
Many of the activities are supported through visiting speakers, workshops and pupil led activities.
In partnership with Headstrong, a local team of mental health and change professionals, staff, pupils and parents have been introduced to an extensive programme of presentations and workshops to help support the mental health of our pupils during key transitional stages, both within and out with school.
