Physical Health

What is Physical Health?

Physical Health is defined as: "the state or condition of your body and organs."

Taking care of your Physical Health has always been a priority for humans. Eating healthy foods, managing your diet, going to the gym, participating in a club, showering, sleeping etc. Today, this is still as relevant, but we must understand that it is not the only aspect to take care of.

Below are a variety of resources to support key areas of Physical Health.

Good Food vs Healthy Food

Food is a necessity but also something we can all enjoy. There is so much variety out there that there is something for everyone. It is ok to enjoy a McDonald's or takeaway every now and then - there you go its been said. We have to treat ourselves! But tucking into that kind of meal each day will take its toll on your body, as it will not provide your body with all the nutrients it requires to grow, remain fit and healthy. As such, having access to healthier meals is key to leading a healthy lifestyle

My Fitness Pal & Fitbit apps

My Fitness Pal is a terrific app which allows you to set weight or body goals and then track your food throughout the day. The app then tells you how much you have under eaten or over eaten, as well as breaking it down into macro food groups for you (fat, carbs and protein).

If you have a Fitbit, their app does a very similar thing as well as linking up with your fitness tracker. This takes real time data from your physical activity that day and adjusts your food intake allowances as such.
