Popular Tech Tools for the Classroom

We all know there are TONS of technology tools out there for teachers and it is easy to become overwhelmed by them. Below are a handful of popular tools you might find useful. Feel free to reach out to me at ckelly@sksd-ri.net with questions or suggestions for tools that should be featured!

Recently Added:

The mote chrome extension allows teachers to provide students with audio comments/feedback in shared documents.

AllSides is a tool that provides varying perspectives on a range of issues.

Bulb is a platform students can use to create digital portfolios of their work.


Google Lens let's you "search what you see" by scanning items or text.

Oldies but Goodies:

Edpuzzle is a platform that allows teachers to create interactive video lessons and track your students' progress.

Similar to Edpuzzle, Nearpod allows teachers to turn PowerPoints and other slide presentations into an interactive format and facilitates progress tracking.

Classroomq allows students with questions to add themselves to a digital waiting list. The teacher is then able to see student names in the order they added themselves to the list, meet with each student, and check them off the list.

In many respects Webjets is similar to Padlet, however with Webjets users can embed images, video, Google Docs and more to their cards. Cards can then be organized into folders.

Thinglink allows users to create interactive digital images. Thinglink offers both free and paid subscriptions.
