Before you can take an exam, you need to register for it in Ladok. This is different from registering for the course. The sign-up period usually ends 1–2 weeks before the exam, so make sure you’re registered in time! It is your responsibility, and teachers normally don’t remind you to do this. If you fail to register, you will most likely have to take the exam at a later date.
If you want to see previous exams before taking yours, you can request them from Miun.
On the day of the exam, make sure to arrive at the exam hall about 15 minutes before the starting time. The doors close 5 minutes before the exam starts, and if you’re late, you will have to wait 30 minutes before being allowed to enter.
When arriving at the exam hall, look for a list of names near the door. On that list, you will find your seat number next to your name. Enter the exam hall and find the corresponding table.
Take out your photo ID. It must be on your desk during the entire exam.
If it is a e-exam, download the SafeExam Browser (SEB) from the MIUN Website beforehand. You can find it on the Student page when you're logged in.
Pens/pencils, erasers, ruler, and any aids approved by the responsible teacher
Medicine, earplugs, glasses (without a case)
Food, coffee, snacks (without bulky packaging), snus
Credit card
Laptop and power cable (only for e-exams aka inspera exams)
Everything else — including all electronics, watches, backpacks, pencil cases, jackets/coats, and similar items — must be stored away from your desk, along the wall and turned off! If your electronics are on and makes noise during the exam you may face disciplinary actions.
The examiners will hand out your exam and writing paper at your desk. You are only allowed to write on the paper provided to you. For e-exams, put in the code from the whiteboard in the SafeExam Browser. If you want to, you can ask for paper to take notes.
After the exam has started, the examiners will come around to give you your personal anonimity identification number and ask you to sign that you have received it. You must write this number on every page you write on. Do not write your name on the exam.
If you finish early, you may hand in your exam only after the first hour has passed. Wait until no one else is at the front, then go to the examiners with your ID card, sign the paper they provide, and hand in your exam. Take your belongings and leave the room quietly, without talking to anyone.
If you need to go to the toilet, inform the examiners and bring your ID card. You are only allowed to go to the toilet after 30 minutes have passed.
Examiners have 15 working days to correct your exam. If it takes longer, you can contact the student union to complain about it.
Your grade will be available on Ladok.
18 days after the exam, you can view your corrected exam on the Study Services page on the Miun website.
If you fail the exam, you may retake it up to two more times.
If you pass but are not satisfied with your grade, you cannot retake the exam.
Good luck! :)
