The local bus company is DinTur.
There is no Semester Ticket, which lets you use buses and trains for free.
You can NOT pay cash in the bus. You can either pay with credit card, get a digital ticket in the app or get a bus card (e.g. in the service center at university).
If you are under 26 and pay with credit card, tell the driver that you are "ungdom" to get a discount.
Bus tickets are valid for 75 minutes. If you change buses simply show the paper ticket to the driver (if you paid with credit card) or the system will not take money from your bus card.
The central bus station in Sundsvall is called "Stenstan" and is located in the city centre.
Want to go to IKEA? Take bus number 2 or 120 to Birsta
Living in Nacksta? Bus 2 goes to the city centre and continues to the shopping centre in Birsta. The bus stop is just behind the building and is called "Sallyhillsvägen".

Public drinking is not allowed. In Swedish culture this is a big no-no.
"Public" means the city centre and public places outside of the city centre, but only when they are having events there. There is a zone , where alcohol is forbidden.
Supermarkets are only allowed to sell beverages with up to 3.5% alcohol.
To buy drinks you need to go to Systembolaget (in the city centre at the bus station or at the shopping centre in Birsta)
To enter Systembolaget you need to have a valid ID and be at least 20 years old. Without an ID all people that are with you cannot buy anything!
Systembolaget is opened on weekdays, Saturdays only until 15.00, and closed all of Sunday.
