Year-long or semester course
Open to all eligible students
Prerequisite: Existing 504 Plan or IEP, Psychoeducational Testing data, and Counselor approval
Drexel is a graded course designed to support eligible students in achieving academic success. Students use class time to complete academic coursework and develop academic skills such as study skills, organization, and communication. Students also use the time to complete tests, make up missed assignments, and continue their progress toward graduation with one-on-one support from the teacher. Student Aids/Tutors may also work with students to remediate learning when available.
Note: Enrollment in Drexel does not guarantee accommodations such as extended time on tests. Extended time and accommodations can only be provided with documentation and/or testing results.
4540 Facilitate High School Success

Open to all eligible students
Credit type: Elective
Prerequisite: Instructor or Counselor approval
This course is an immersion course for international students that will focus on the fundamental skills necessary for high school success. These skills include: time management, test-taking and research skills, utilizing campus resources, effective reading, how to speak to teachers, note-taking, and other learning skills. Additional course content includes goal setting, values, critical thinking, diversity awareness, and the skills necessary to take the TOEFL (listening, speaking, reading comprehension, and writing.

Open to Juniors and Seniors
Credit Type: Elective
The ACT Preparation course is designed to equip high school students with the essential skills and strategies needed to excel on the ACT exam. This comprehensive course covers all four sections of the ACT: English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science, providing students with a thorough understanding of the exam format, content, and timing. Throughout the course, students will engage in a variety of instructional activities, including practice tests, and individualized feedback sessions. Emphasis will be placed on developing critical thinking skills, problem-solving techniques, and test-taking strategies tailored to the unique demands of the ACT.

Open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
Credit Type: No credit, students do not receive any course credit for this class
Course is Pass/Fail only
Prerequisite: student must be taking a combination of three AP and/or Concurrent courses in the semester they wish to take Learning Center
It is designed to give academically motivated students the opportunity to begin assigned homework, research information for projects or assignments, make up missed tests or quizzes and otherwise continue their academic progress toward graduation. It will be scheduled into the student’s open period. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good standing in regards to discipline and attendance.
