Ensuring maternal health and wellness is foundational to society’s overall health and continues to be of pressing concern for both developed and developing countries. Advocating for legislation and initiatives and continuing to develop health information technologies that will increase the quality and access to maternal health care are areas that necessitate further research and enhancements to design and implementation. Moreover, attention and collaboration to address such issues will be key to seeing visible improvements in maternal health markers across the nation.
