Exploring Beliefs and Biases through Photovoice Composition
In our synchronous session, we'll learn more about photovoice as a pedagogical approach that allows students to use their own voice to document their lives and communities. This can be a powerful way for students to interrogate dominant narratives, reflect on their own assumptions, and craft impactful counternarratives. Our session will include a chance to learn more about Photovoice, review an example of its application in a "My Community and Me" lesson, and play around with designing our own multimodal, photovoice composition.
