Before our next session together, try out some of the strategies for community-engaged language learning (community ethnography or community asset mapping). Please reflect on the process of implementation with a short video contribution to the FlipGrid discussion provided in session. Please also hang on to any lesson plans or artifacts you develop and samples of student work that you want to share with our community.
Some possible prompts for your reflection are,
1) What strategies did you implement and how did you roll them out?
2) What did you observe about yourself and about your students when you implemented these strategies?
3) What teacher work (lesson plans, activity handouts, lecture slides, etc.) and student work can you share (without compromising student confidentiality) to support your reflection?
