Enrollment Dates:

There are two enrollment dates for the Virtual Academy are as follows:

• Beginning of the Year last enrollment date: August 6, 2021

• Mid-Year last enrollment date: January 5, 2021

The online registration form can be found on the Virtual Academy website.During the enrollment date period, students are also able to register for the VIrtual Academy, or current virtual students can complete paperwork to transition back to their home-based school. More information will be shared at that time.

Student success is the ultimate goal of the Virtual Academy; therefore, consideration of enrollment will be subject to an enrollment process and review. This enrollment process is subject, but not limited to the review of the following:

• Student grades

• Student discipline records

• Student attendance records

• Prior success and progress in both home-based and virtual school

In order for the student to proceed to the enrollment process, the Virtual Academy Registration packet should be completed and submitted. The registration packet can be found on the Virtual Academy website. Once the enrollment process is complete, a notification email will be sent.

St. James Parish Virtual Academy reserves the right to consider enrollment after the enrollment period has closed for students who may need access to the Virtual Academy program due to unforeseen circumstances and pandemic medical needs. This enrollment will still be subject to the same review process outlined above.
