School Calendar

The Academic Calendar can be found on the St. James Parish District website, under “resources”. Virtual Academy courses are adjusted to close in December and in May, prior to the St. James Parish School end date; however, may incorporate task-oriented items/lessons. This is designed due to the grade procedures, close out SIS reporting tasks, and state-mandated testing. Important Beginning of the Year dates for the Virtual Academy for School Year 2021-2022 are as follows:

Please note, parents will attend a mandatory orientation session at the same time their students are taking their mandatory iReady beginning of the year testing. More information on times will be coming the first week in August. This will take place at the new Virtual Academy school building (formerly the Science and Math Academy).
