Classrooms & Labs

Classroom Equipment

Each campus classroom features a teacher station with a computer capable of playing DVDs and an audio receiver. Audio and video content are presented via a mounted projector and speakers.​ Some classrooms may also have the use of interactive projectors or displays. Control of classroom equipment is managed through a touch panel. External devices can be connected using the cubby on the desk.

Interactive Displays

Certain classrooms are equipped with SMART or Sharp Interactive Displays or Epson Interactive Projectors. Usage of these interactive devices are permitted when rooms are not scheduled for classes. Visit our Campus Interactive Devices page to get a list of classroom locations.

Computer Labs

Computer labs are equipped with Windows 11 Enterprise and connected to our SJNY Domain. All students, faculty and staff must login with their SJNY username and password to access these computers. Access includes Internet, academic software, and an I drive (if applicable). Labs can be used outside of class hours.​

*NOTE: Properly log off campus computers after use to safeguard files and browser information.

Printing Guidelines

Printing from campus computers or from your own personal devices can be done through our FollowMePrint cloud printing queues. All printing is defaulted to print duplex (double-sided) to minimize paper usage.​​​​​​ Visit our Printing page for more information in how to print and student printing credits.
