These are shapes that have many sides. We can have regular and irregular polygons. For example: a regular polygon could be a hexagon, pentagon, square, etc..
Us ethe sheet below to match the shapes to the clues. Remember a vertice is where two sides join to make a corner. A triangle has 3 vertices.
Fraction Word Problems.
Use your knowledge of fractions and division to solve the following worded problems. Remember, if we are trying to find a quarter of an amount we would divide by 4.
Example: 1/4 of 40
40 divided by 4 = 10.
Therefore, 1/4 of 40 would equal 10

The 3/4 Community are learning about data and statistics. We are exploring a variety of ways to find and measure data, and different ways to analyse.
To practise at home, try the following...
Write down the following - Coke, Sprite, Orange Juice and Water
Using tally marks ask family and friends which of these drink is their favourite.
Think about the best way to display this data? What kind of graph would work?
OR
Watching out of a window, note down how many different coloured cars you see in the space of 20 minutes. (You could choose other items to observe - animals, bird types etc)
Using the data create a graph to accurately display the information collected.
