Students in the junior community are expected to read out loud to an adult each night for at least 15 minutes and have this recorded in their diaries. This is in line with our school’s Homework Policy. Students then are responsible for bringing their diary in each morning and handing it to their teacher to be signed and returned home.
This process helps students to:
To develop student responsibility.
To help students develop regular study skills, such as time management and organisation.
Improve School/Home partnerships.
Consolidate information and skills learned during class hours.
