Internet Connectivity for Students and Families (low cost)

  • Please contact your child's teacher or administrator should you need assistance with technology or internet in order to access you child's Distance Learning.

SJCOE Adapted Physical Education or Specially Designed Physical Education Resources

Staying physically active at home is important to promote healthy growth patterns, keep all systems of the body functioning optimally and help maintain a strong immune system. While your child is home, please make time to get moving for 30-60 minutes per day, 3-5 days a week or more. Please make sure to keep your child hydrated throughout the day. Eating fruits and vegetables can help strengthen your child’s immune system.

Nursing Information & Resources

Special Education Nursing Staff is picking up daily medications and formula from classrooms and delivering to families. Currently, we are not delivering as-needed medications (inhalers, Tylenol, topical creams). Infant Program Resources

During this time of school closure, we will continue to provide Resources/Opportunity/Access in Innovative Ways

Service Coordination Services

  • Service coordination support services will continue to be offered electronically. Service Coordinator will provide telephone calls for families as an alternative to in-person home visits. Resources will continue to be shared via text messaging and email.

  • Service coordinator to provide support services to Early Start team wherever needed in attempt to provide a smooth transition from face-to-face to remote educational opportunities.

Infant Development Services

  • Infant Development support services will be offered electronically. Infant teacher will provide telephone calls for families as an alternative to in-person home visits.

  • Suggested learning activities to include HELP curriculum handouts (which are currently provided to families) to be sent via email or text to the families as part of their child's upcoming home visit. Handout to be discussed as part of phone contact. As needed DVD's and resources may be delivered by team and dropped off at homes.

LSH Services

  • Speech and Language support services will continue to be offered electronically. LSH will provide phone calls for families as an alternative to in-person home visits. Resources will continue to be shared via text messaging and email.
