Welcome to the David Geffen School of Drama/Yale Repertory Theatre (DGSD/YRT) Electrics Department's site. Here you will find various information from equipment inventories and circuit layouts to policies and budget samples to help you to carry out your task as the Production Electrician on one of our productions.

The goal of the Production Electrician (P.E.) is to accomplish and maintain the artistic design as set forth by the Lighting Designer (LD). To work with the LD to create a budget that reflects the hours and money necessary to realize the design. To lead the crew efficiently and safely, from load-in through the load-out. Those assigned as the P.E. have a range of experience from none at all to being very skillful but that should not prevent you from having a fun and learning experience. At any time you should feel free to ask any question, or raise any concerns, to the Lighting Supervisor or the staff Senior House Electricians.
