**IMPORTANT**

MANDATORY OLCC training prior to volunteering:

This volunteering opportunity involves selling alcohol at Football games, so it does require a little bit of pre-work prior to the event date that you sign up for!

Each volunteer will need to take an approved online alcohol server course (takes about 1.5 hours to complete) and then apply for their OLCC (Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission) license.

You only have to do this once and you'll be certified to volunteer at games for 5 years!!  Check out the BONUSES volunteering at games brings to your child's class and the school as a whole!

The PTO recommends this online course: Oregon OLCC Alcohol Server Permit Course

Apply for the servers permit at OLCC

OLCC Licensing - More Details

Reimbursement for Course and OLCC License

You will need to actually apply for the permit at the OLCC website. You need to upload a picture of your license and pay, and you'll get your temporary permit. You also have to take the server test.

There are costs for the test and the application - it's about $40 total ($14 for the class, $28 for the license and test). You can pay and be reimbursed by the PTO. You'll need your payment confirmations so we have them for the PTO records. If you are unable to pay and be reimbursed, please contact PTO at ygschoolpto@gmail.com

^ Free Bus Passes are available - please make sure to pick up your free pass in advance of game day from the YG office if you need one.  There is an Autzen Stadium Express shuttle bus that can bring you to/from the game departing from a number of locations including the Valley River Center (Northwest parking lot), the Lane County Fairgrounds (13th & Jackson), or from South Eugene High School (19th & Patterson) for example.  Shuttle service to Autzen Stadium begins 3 hours before game time. Buses run every 10 to 20 minutes from 8 Park & Ride locations.

Read more about the shuttle on the Eugene Stadium webpage or on the Valley River Center webpage.

^^Volunteer Bonuses - In addition to helping with PTO's main fundraising source that pays for so many benefits to YG at large, volunteers can designate to have $50 of fundraising money go to a particular grade if they choose to.  This benefit is $75 during your grade's specific "game day," meaning that if you have a 2nd grader and you volunteer on November 4th - the 2nd grade game - you can request that $75 go to your 2nd grade teachers to help fund whatever they may need the funds for.

Misc. Additional Volunteering Details:

If you are unable to get your OLCC license prior to a game that you have signed up for, we can still use your help as a volunteer!  Please do not back out of volunteering.. instead let the PTO know when you arrive or beforehand by email (ygschoolpto@gmail.com) that you will not have your license yet.

Day of Game:

- The “Service Group Gate List Check-In” booth is to the right of the South Gate. Please let them know you are from Yujin Gakuen and your name, they may request to see your ID so please bring one. They will give you a wrist band and meal voucher. You will need your OLCC license when you get to our beverage booth.

- Our Beverage Booth is on the Southwest side of Autzen Stadium. Enter through the South Gate, go to the top of the stairs, then turn left. We are in the large area with two trailers between the two entrances for gate 37.

- The sign up sheets are now separated out by station (cashier / cooler / inventory).  If you want to do a particular station, please sign up for that station in advance.  Note that we may ask people to change jobs if important ones are not filled (e.g., cashiering) on game day.

Time commitment:

- All volunteers are expected to arrive approximately 3 hours early, be ready to serve 2 hours before the game, and serve until the end of 3rd quarter. If you have time after that, and are able to help us clean up the booth, that would be appreciated. However, if you must leave at that time, we understand.

- A food voucher will be provided to use at pre-determined concession stands.  U of O will provide each volunteer a voucher for one food item for their shift.  Meal break typically happens at kick-off.

Please contact YG PTO if you would like to volunteer for a game day but have any questions or concerns keeping you from signing up or volunteering for an entire shift or anything else.  Thank you for your time and commitment to our school and students!  - YG PTO

THANK YOU!!!

We appreciate all our parent, teacher, staff and student volunteers and the many hours they donate to making our school activities shine.
