It is a very fun filled event with activities in every corner of the school so we need a lot of parent and family involvment to make it happen!!

Oshogatsu is typically held on a Friday in the third week of January, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm
At-Home Volunteering
At-Home Volunteering
We would be delighted to have help with preparing items for events at home for those who would like to help out with their time at home. This kind of help can vary, however, we ARE hoping to build a YG thousand-crane photo backdrop and would be happy to accept help in folding paper cranes for this ambitious project. We have a specific design, so please contact ygschoolpto@gmail.com if you are interested in helping with this task and we'll give you instructions and supplies!

Event committee volunteers
We are looking for volunteers interested in being involved in upcoming event committees. Committees will meet a few times before an event to discuss putting the event together including ideas, resources, managing and bringing in donations, pick up/drop off of event supplies, and so forth. Please let us know at ygschoolpto@gmail.com if you have an interest in helping with any of the following events:

Classroom liaison volunteers
The classroom liaison will manage communications between the teachers for that grade and the PTO in an effort to help with volunteer recruiting, event communications, and anything else that comes up. Think modern day phone tree!
