Course Description

This course gives a comprehensive introduction to computer vision. The areas that the course will cover are:

1. Digital image processing with Matlab;
2. Numerical optimisation: Linear and Nonlinear Least Squares
3. Background and foreground detection
4. Optical Flow
5. Feature detection and matching
6. Image registration and image stitching
7. Stereo vision for depth estimation

Prerequisites

This course requires familiarity with calculus, Linear algebra and basic geometry.
