Turkish movie – NIGHT OF SILENCE – makes its UK dvd debut

NIGHT OF SILENCE (PG) 2012 TURKEY   ÇELIK, REIS    £15.99 Turkish drama following a newlywed couple struggling with the pressures of family tradition. After a long stint in prison for killing his mother and another man to protect his family’s honour, Damat (Ilyas Salman) returns to his home village where a marriage has been arranged between himself and a young woman, Gelin (Dilan Aksüt). The ceremony itself goes to plan but when the newlyweds are led into their bridal room where the consummation is to take place, Gelin is reluctant to go through with the act and attempts to delay it as long as she can.
