The final stretch is an age of loss and extinction worse than ever before, for this time, there will be no reprieve. Yet in the middle of it all, there may still be hope yet, in a story that was never really about the destination so much as the journey.

Beginning of the End: After the Hothouse
Volcanism is extinct, and the atmosphere grows thinner, reducing with it the magnetic field. Weather grows drier and more unpredictable, and Serina's environments begin to change rapidly once again, yet for now many species hold on to a precarious existence.
