WGEN is hosting the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) for an exciting, educational experience exclusively for bright students in grades 2-8.

Johns Hopkins Centers for Talented Youth is dedicated to recognizing and developing K-12 learners of great academic promise.

Workshop fees = $10 per student / $5.00 for current paid Wilson Gifted Education Network members (as of 2/6/2013)

Testing fees = $98 per student paid directly to CTY

(includes $38 CTY Talent Search application fee and $60 SCAT testing fee) cty.jhu.edu

* $10.00 workshop fee can be applied to early bird membership in WGEN good through 2013 -2014 school year.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

Registration and payment due by February 28.

Tentative Schedule:

8:00 am: Registration

8:30 am: Testing/Parent Presentation

10:00 am: Morning Workshops

(Student activities & parent presentations)

11:30 am: Complimentary Lunch

A parent/guardian must stay on the premises for the duration of the event.

The SCAT measures verbal and mathematical reasoning ability and consists of one verbal section and one quantitative section. For more information on the SCAT test and above grade level testing please visit cty.jhu.edu/talent/testing.
