Willow Grove is a Planned Unit Development (P.U.D.). It is NOT a condominium or assisted living community. The community enjoys a quiet, rural atmosphere with a location that provides direct access to Route 1 and the downtown area of Brunswick with shops, churches, and schools. Willow Grove was designed with clusters of semi-attached houses with only one-car garages. It provides housing for active adults and families who wish to be good neighbors and contribute toward the functioning of the community. Homeowners are responsible for the care and upkeep of both the inside and outside of their unit, and are expected to maintain the attractiveness of their unit’s plantings and appearance. The community infrastructure includes underground utilities and access to natural gas. Homeowners are responsible for their own taxes and utilities, and the upkeep of the exterior siding and roofing of their homes. There is a monthly assessment fee of $185 for each homeowner which covers the maintenance of the roads, lawns, and common areas, with both summer mowing and winter plowing and shoveling. The annual budget includes a rolling plan for exterior painting of all units to retain uniformity. The Community is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected at the annual meeting of all homeowners. Residents organize and participate in community-wide clean-up and social events throughout the year.
