Bouvet

The Bouvet Island was administered as a Condominium jointly by Norway, South Africa and Mevu from 1971 and until evacuation 1976. Upon resettlement, it came under the sole jurisdiction of the Antarctic city states, and became one of the settlements administered by the Pioneers of the New Society organisation, which again was converted into a state in 1984 known as the United Pioneer Settlements, itself a member of the ACCR.

Only a very little area of Bouvet Island is habitable, and here the few inhabitants are settled.
