The  West Laurel Recreation Council (WLRC) which operated for years an independent, non-profit organization affiliated with the Prince George’s Parks Department, recently merged with the West Laurel Civic Association but will continue to function in a semi-autonomous fashion. The WLRC is a group of interested volunteers, offering various educational, social, and recreational programs to West Laurel citizens of all ages. WLRC meetings are scheduled for the 4th Monday of the month at 7:30 pm at the Community Building, except during the summer from June thru August. Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring ideas on programs and events you would like to see the WLRC work on! Furthermore, if you would like to teach a class or workshop, they would love to hear your ideas.
