About Us

Our Aim

We have always endeavoured to provide an excellent service and value for money at all of our Toy & Train Collector's Fairs. We have set ourselves high standards and we take pride in every Toy & Train Collector's Fair we promote making sure that all the venues are carefully selected to reflect those standards. As a family business we all sincerely hope that a J & J Toy & Train Collector's Fair is a thoroughly enjoyable event, whether you are buying or selling.

History

Julie and John Webb began promoting Toy Collector's Fairs back in 1987 on a cold Monday night in the Bailgate area of Lincoln. When the Toy Fair opened the queue of customers stretched as far as the eye could see - an instant success! Subsequently Julie and John searched the country to find the very best venues for their fairs. In 1990, in partnership with Dave Jowett, Julie and John promoted many of the Countries major Toy Collector's Fairs including Europe's largest fair at the Birmingham NEC. In 2003 they sold their share to Dave in order to concentrate their efforts on J & J Fairs. Over the last 30 plus years their portfolio of Toy Fairs has included many venues all over England, ranging in size from 40 to 350 tables which have been supported by the countries top traders and of course the collecting public.

After 20 years of David, (John's son) running the Toy Collector's Fairs as General Manager for J & J Fairs, he stepped down to start a new family life in Australia and his sister Lorraine took over the reigns as Event Manager from 1st January 2015. Lorraine is no stranger to Toy Collector's Fairs as she first attended with her Dad, John, having a stall of their very own in 1979 and has kept up to date in one way or another ever since.

Julie and John would like to say a very big thank you to all their loyal stall holders and customers who have travelled to their Fairs over the past 34 years. They have made some very dear friends and are now enjoying their well deserved retirement as the business has now been taken over completely by Lorraine who continues to run them with the same high standards.

J & J Fairs look forward to welcoming you very soon.
