Your Health is a weapon to be used. When you are healthy, you are better equipped to handle the stress of living. When we are given bodies which don't perform as we would like, utilizing the available means to increase our health better prepares us for the assaults on your systems.
How does pain influence your walk in this world? We are under constant assault to harness all the good things this world has to offer yet when we look at the Bible, God used pain also to expand the knowledge and skill of the people. When we bear children, God puts our bodies through the test of expanding in the front and moving our organs around. Giving the child within us the nourishment needed to grow and thrive. When it is time for the baby to be born, God uses labor pains to signal the time of birth. Again the pain is necessary to provide us to find a safe haven for the birth to take part in.
Throughout the different stages of your life, you have encountered different type of pain. The pain of a love lost. The pain of exertion. The pain of failure. How have you grown when you look at the pain years later. When we can utilize the steps which induced the pain to accomplish a huge step in our growth, then we have passed into a new phase of our lives. Do not cherish pain. Do not cherish pleasure. Cherish the people God has brought into your lives who have allowed you to grow. When I had fibromyalgia, the pain was so great I felt hopelessness swarm over me. The thoughts of destruction overshadowed the thoughts of healing. Now with the pain mostly gone and only intermittent, I look at how the pain has allowed me to cherish the people who helped me through the pain. I now have a different perspective on life. My husband encounters pain on a daily basis. My personal pain allows me to be gentle with my husband when his pain is affecting everything in his and our lives. When you can embrace the different experiences in your life and use them to venture forth without the fear, you have become a powerful weapon for our Lord.
