Lao Folk Dance

Lao Dance

Lao Folk Dance ( "fon"), is one of the most beautiful and aesthetically pleasing entertainments in the Lao culture. The dance is a combination of symbolic movement of the hand, head, and body with a mixture of Lao, Thai, and Cambodian art form that comes together to make one harmonious dance. Dancers wear sin and sash made out of silk accompanied by assorted gold/silver jewelry to pair with the costume. Dance Performances are usually performed during big events such as Lao New Year and Ork Phansa festival. Please check back often for upcoming events.
