WELCOME! Wat Lao Saysettha of Santa Rosa is a nonprofit   Buddhist organization practicing Theravada Buddhism.  We are located in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County north of the San Francisco Bay Area. Our mission is to preserve and share Lao Buddhist religion as well as Lao culture and traditions with our local community.

Our temple's event includes the following, everyone is welcome to join.

• Daily Chant and Meditation: Please call before visiting.

• Thak Baht:  Food offering takes place during our monthly Boun event (Please check calendar for dates).  Please come join us or just come say hi, everyone is welcome at Wat Lao Saysettha. 

Current Temple Development

• Lighting the path from Sala to the Naga Garden, the donation is requested for the purchase of a solar light panel and lamp pole to create a safe and lit path during the religious procession ceremony.

• Campaign to Payoff Temple's Mortgage within 5 years.

• Planting/Gardening (sustainably):  Ongoing - For those who have an interest in preserving our culture of planting tropical and rare plants, we have designated an area for gardening behind Sala of the temple.  We have extensive land where we can also landscape to make the temple more bountiful.  We gratefully accept donations of seeds and plants that will help provide shade for the land as we continue to grow.
