WaterYouEating Boston
Research Case 4
How are groups of people affected? Think of the huge variety of people that live in Boston?
During a hurricane, people can't get water
If you don't have a car it becomes harder to get food
When prices become inflated it becomes harder to buy food
Some lifestyle can change in a Hurricane and drought
During a Drought, water and food prices can skyrocket to unaffordable prices
People growing food can't grow as much
Some groups don't want to use public transport due to the heat
During a hurricane, the supply chain can be delayed, or interrupted, and some can't get food
Transportation can be interrupted with floods
For example, people going to Costco might not be able to buy fresh meat since the meat can rot through delays, or not being transported to the store
There can be a crisis if Boston doesn't do anything, and leave the supply chain the way it is
The supply chain can't be interrupted for Boston be more sustainable
