Because hurricanes form in the ocean, Boston is at risk for hurricanes because Boston is on the coastline, a place next to the ocean.

hurricanes are formed because the warm moist air rises and causes wind to spin it around turning it into a hurricane. Because of global warming, the ocean will heat up more causing more and more hurricanes to occur.

This can change the future because the cities at risk for hurricanes like Boston may need to change how they build their buildings and how they live to adapt to these hurricanes.

Big data is a massive amount of data.

Boston uses big data to predict where the hurricanes are and what path they will take.

Boston also could use big data to plan evacuations and planing structures that can withstand these hurricanes.

Why is Boston at risk for droughts?

Droughts are when there is an abnormally shortage of water for a long period of time.

If there is a drought is Boston, the government may need to apply water restrictions for watering your lawn and other water using activities. These water restrictions could anger the people because the grass looks sad, yellow, dry and depressing due to the lack of being watered like what happened in Burlington.

This could change the the future because lands with droughts will need to be able to supply the grass with water in a more efficient way to waste less water and also not anger the people.

Big data can be used to determine when, which areas, and what time your lawn need to be watered so the minimum amount of water gets used and you still have water to be able to take a shower.
