Action planning DRR
Action planning
Mainstreaming DRR:
1) High risk: Explicit DRR, aim to reduce disaster risk
2) Medium risk: Integrate DRR in what you already do it. Make the results of those activities disaster proof.
3) Low risk: If risk is low then focus on other things that are important, but set up a system for monitoring. It should be an active decisions otherwise risk of feeling it slipped through if disaster strikes.
Review programming of options:
Not a linear process: Upset power balance, create envy, create workload of people who dont have capacity of doil it.
Important design criteria (integrate in planning to make sure this is covered):
Relevance: is the project in line with local needs and priorities
Appropriateness: activities
Connectedness: activities
Sustainability:
Coherence:
Coverage:
Efficiency:
Effectiveness:
Coordination:
Impact:
Indicators for monitoring of disaster risk:
Input - Means - 20 hours spent on developing first aid
Process - Activities
Output Expected results
Outcome Specific objective
Impact Overall objective
Context indicators
Implementation monitoring
Build flexibility of the plan - "things happen" (invasion of land areas by people)
Increased disaster risk (light wood replaced by concrete in landslide areas)
