The official third installment of the time-travel saga features a partial crossover with The Man From U.N.C.L.E., as well as a new addition to the main cast in the form of Lucius Bowen, alias Pinto, the great-great-grandson of Lucrece Posey and the original Pinto.
Lucius is a career criminal and a trained assassin who ends up switching sides and working for U.N.C.L.E. because of the information he holds about his former employer, Buddy Blackburn, and the Armageddon device he is developing with the organization THRUSH. Knowing too much, he is in danger of being assassinated himself, and he accepts Alexander Waverly's offer to come to U.N.C.L.E.
Also added to the main cast is Coley's old second-in-command Lafe, who wanders through the open portal and stumbles across Coley. Lafe hopes that Coley will come back with him and return to the life they knew. Coley will not, and wishes that Lafe would consider staying in 2012 and going straight.
Snakes Tolliver, still alive but wounded from his own trap on Mt. San Antonio, is laying low and just trying to stay alive. He wants only to escape to Canada, but his presence is discovered by both the good guys and the bad guys, none of whom are pleased to find him among the living. He eventually is coerced to help in foiling THRUSH's doomsday plot, and in the end, everyone's fate may depend on Snakes' decisions.
