Travel To Village

We would like to inform you that it’s better to arrange your flight to reach Sri Lanka around Wednesday or Thursday then you can start your activity at the village on Saturdays. Then you can understand how our educational activities go through during the week. On Saturday you can meet all of members and Discuss with group of students that how weekdays activities could arrange.

If you reach to our village Sunday or Monday, most probably you wont be arrange week day classes and join with a group of students until next Saturday..

Please manage your time to visit us Thursday or Friday.....

1st Option and Best Option - From Colombo by train

Get to the Colombo Pettah main railway station. Then, catch Badulla train and you need to get down from Ella. ( one of the most tourist's hot places)

From Ella, it does take 1 hour to get our village.

Colombo - Kandy -Nawalapitiya - Pattipola - Diyathalawa - Haputhale - Bandarawela - Ella,

*** Catch a bus from Ella to Wellawaya..

From Wellawaya you can get a Bus to Hingurukaduwa, Buses are available hourly..

2nd option - From Colombo, by bus

You need to go to privet bus stand at pettah, Colombo. You need to find a Monergala bus queue.

Get a Monergala bus and need to get a ticket to Pelwatta.

Colombo - Awissawella - Rathnapura - Pelmadulla - Godakawela - Udawalawa National park - Thanamalvila ( 1 hour ) - Wellawaya ( 15Mnt ) - Pelwatta

From Mathara

If you are from down south, get Mathara Main Bus Stand and catch a Moneragala bus and get down from Wellawaya or Pelwatta..

If you get down from Wellawaya, you need to catch a bus to Hingurukaduwa from there..

If you get down from Pelwatta junction, you need to catch a Passara bus and get down from Hingurukaduwa ( the village)

From Kandy
