National Youth Day Celebrations 2011
In the Samithi, a student Mr.Karthik, Jr. Inter, NRI College, Kukutpally appeared in the attire of Swamiji and delivered the Chicago speech given by Swamiji on 11 Sep. 1893.
The 148th birth anniversary and 149th birth day of Swami Vivekananda occurred to be on 12 Jan 2011 as per English Calendar and on 26 Jan 2011 as per National Calendar. On the occasion, a few programmes were held under the aegis of our VYJVKKP. The details are given below.

Events on “Total Personality Development for Youth” will be held in SIT, JNTUH, Kukutpally, Hyd. Inaugurating the celebrations on 27 Nov. 2010 evening for more than a month in the campus, Prof.LVAR Sarma, Director, SIT, JNTUH distributed the sponsored literature on "Swami Vivekananda’s Inspiring Message for Youth and Leadership " to the national and international students. He inaugurated the Book Exhibition on “Bharat Darshan, Career-Building, and Life Skills Development“ for Students. The program was sponsored by http://sites.google.com/site/vivekjntu, Vivekananda Yuva Jagruti Vedika, Kukutpally. Addressing the students, Director Prof.Sarma said character-building and total personality development were best radiant in the multi-faceted genius of Swamiji. He advised the youth to follow Swamiji’s formula, “Help and not Fight,” “Assimilation and not Destruction”, “Harmony and Peace and not Dissension” for successful youth leadership. By developing the personality well-being both internally and externally in a well-coupled and yet cohesive manner, development of oneself, the society, the nation and the world at large is realizable.

VYJV, Kukutpally has sponsored 500 books of "Vivekananda - His Call to the Nation" for free distribution to the first year students of JNTUH College of Engineering, Kukutpally, Hyderabad. The books were handed over to the Principal who arranged for the distribution.

VYJV, Kukutpally has sponsored 300 books of "Vivekananda - His Call to the Nation" for free distribution to the students of JNTUK University College of Engineering, Kakinada, A.P. campus. The books were handed over to the Vice-Chancellor of the Univ.

In SLC'sIET, Piglipur (V), Hayatnagar (M), VYJV, Kukutpally has sponsored the following CDs towards Vivekananda Songs competitions in the Youth Celebrations Jan 2011: (1.) 10 Sri Vivekananda Smaranam CDs (2.) 2 Vivekananda Vandana CDs (3.)10 Bhavanjali CDs containing "Jaago Bharat" and "Amar Bharat" songs on Swami Vivekananda and India.

In University College of Engg, JNTUK, Kakinada, VYJV, Kukutpally undertook the free distribution of 500 books of the title "Swami Vivekananda- His Call to the Nation" to the university students. In his thanksgiving communication to the VYJVKKP, the Vice Chancellor commended the sponsored distribution.

In University College of Engg, JNTUH College of Engineering, JNTUH, Hyderabad, VYJV, Kukutpally undertook the free distribution of 500 books of the title "Swami Vivekananda- His Call to the Nation" to the campus students.
The thanksgiving communication of the Principal for heralding the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on 12 Jan 2013 by VYJVKKP-sponsosored distribution of literature (in Jan 2011) on Swamiji's inspiring message to the youth and the call for the nation is commended.

To the students of JNTUH College of Engineering, Nachupally, Jagityal, Karimnagar, A.P., VYJV, Kukutpally and Ramakrishna Viveka Seva Samiti, Karimnagar jointly sponsored the following:
1. 20 ACDs entitled "Bhavanjali" which contain the 2 cassettes songs of 'Jaago Bharat' and 'Amar Bharat'.
2. 20 ACDs entitled "Bhajanamrutam" which contain the Telugu songs on Swami Vivekananda, India and Inspiration.
3. 20 ACDs entitled "Sri Vivekananda Smaranam" containing songs on Swamiji.
4. 5 ACDs entitled "Vivekananda Vandana" containing songs on Swamiji.
The songs ACDs were sponsored such that the students can be aware of songs on Swamiji and know to hold songs competitions on the eve of Youth Celebrations wherein the songs will be only on Swamiji.
The students and the educational institutions are not aware of the availability of the Vivekananda Songs ACDs and do not know that they can make the young students learn the songs and hold Vivekananda Songs competitions in the context of "National Youth Day" celebrations or other Youth Celebrations. These ACD resources are excellent in that they give them the potential to practice and conduct Vivekananda Songs competitions. They can hold chorus singing (Brindagaanam) competitions (which VYJVKKP encourages) by using these ACDs for practicing and learning.
