“Sri Ramakrishna Prabha Subscription at Your Doorstep” Drive

The drive was taken up by VYJVKKP for the ease of the residents of Kukutpally and the surrounding areas. Sri Ramakrishna Prabha is the singular Telugu periodical, a monthly magazine, published by the R.K. Math. There are quite manydevotional/spiritual periodicals available in Telugu. Among them, the significance of Sri Ramakrishna Prabha is unique. It is one for people of all ages. It features regular articles themed “Yuvavaani” and “Dheeravaani” which are very useful to the youth. Its regular feature on Personality Development themes is quite significant as well to youth. Its lucid presentation style, simple language and small articles dense with useful contents attract people to go through its pages without much time and effort. Its subscription rates Rs.100/- p.a., Rs.280/- for 3 years and Rs.450/- for 5 years are quite affordable. It is one of the most sought after periodicals in the libraries in education institutions from high schools to UG/PG Colleges. The feedback from the subscribers is that even though they possess books of R.K. Math, readings from the Sri Ramakrishna Prabha keep them regularly learning, motivated, inspired and spiritually refreshening and generally active.

The drive taken up by the VYJVKKP is very much appreciated by the general public and a lot of people have been keen on becoming subscribers. Though the volunteers have had too less time to spare to attend to the drive, that quite many became subscribers in short time is noteworthy and this shows that the periodical attracts the good impression of one in the first instance.

In view of the excellence of the periodical “Sri Ramakrishna Prabha”, VYJVKKP donated Rs.10,000/- towards permanent fund. Also, VYJVKKP subscribed for Sri Ramkrishna Prabha to the libraries of New Govt. Junior College, Kukutpally and Municipal Primary School, Behind Saibaba Temple, KPHB Colony 2^nd Road as a token gesture. VYJVKKP subscribed the magazine for twenty years worth Rs.1,500/- to the ZPHS, Sri Kalahasti, Chittoor Dt., A.P. and for an year to the Primary School, beside Ganapati temple., KPHB IV Phase, Kukutpally, Hyd.
