IPTS 3H) states the teacher, "establishes high expectations for each student’s learning and behavior"
The learning environment in my classroom will be positive. I will set the standards high for every student in my classroom. I will have posted on my website clear expectations for my students.
IPTS 4G) states the teacher, "knows strategies to implement behavior management and behavior intervention planning to ensure a safe and productive learning environment"
In my classroom I will use positive reinforcements as a behavior management plan. I will have the rules and procedures posted in the classroom as well as on my website for parents to use as a reminder to their child.
IPTS 4I) states the teacher, "creates a safe and healthy environment that maximizes student learning"
My classroom is designed with order. The students will have a clear idea of what is considered safe and healthy in my class. I will establish a relationship with my students and their families to allow for positive communication.
IPTS 4J) states the teacher, "creates clear expectations and procedures for communication and behavior and a physical setting conducive to achieving
By posting the rules and procedures on my website classroom goals"
IPTS 4K) states the teacher, "uses strategies to create a smoothly functioning learning community in which students assume responsibility for themselves and one another, participate in decision-making, work collaboratively and independently, use appropriate technology, and engage in purposeful learning activities"
I will have posted on my website homework and activities for the week. This will allow students to take responsibility for themselves. This will also help the parents stay connected with the classroom.
Rationale:
My classroom website was designed as a home school connection tool. It was created for students to stay connected to learning. My website allows students and their parents a chance to work together and build a connection in learning. The parents will also be able to understand what is going on in the classroom. This give the parents a chance to see the environment their child is learning in. The parents and students will have clear understanding of myself, and the expectations in my classroom. I believe my website will promote the home school connection strategy.
