Intellectual Disability is the most common developmental disability. As an educator, I wanted to know more about the disability. I believe the more you know, the more you can help your students. I created a PowerPoint on Intellectual Disabilities. In my PowerPoint you will get an overview of the disability. You will also find ways to accommodate and modify your instruction in order to meet the needs of your students. This artifact is important to me because it allowed me to understand how students with intellectual disabilities learn. As a teacher it also reminded me that anyone can learn. I will use this information as I teach students with intellectual disabilities. This research and PowerPoint gives me a better understanding as to how to adapt my instruction in order to meet the needs of students with intellectual disabilities.
