One of the key ViSTER objectives is to assess the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of technologies that can be deployed for Surveillance and Automated Border applications , in order to be able provide the recommendations based thereon for the government clients and partners in regards to the best areas of R&D and procurement in these technologies.
In doing that, the PROVE-IT(x) technology readiness assessment framework is used. This framework has been developed during the PROVE-IT(VA) and PROVE-IT(FRiV) projects and is described in the following references.
