Welcome to ViSTER: 

Video Surveillance Technology Evaluation and Research Group

ViSTER is a multidisciplinary community that brings together researchers from academia and government working in the field of video-surveillance and analytics, including face recognition in video.

The group is lead by the University of Ottawa's  School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and is open to partnerships with other groups, organizations and individuals in Canada and abroad.

Acknowledgement

The foundation for establishing  the ViSTER group came from the  PROVE-IT(VA) and PROVE-IT(FRiV) projects led by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Science and Engineering Directorate with the University of Ottawa's  School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and Université du Québec's École de technologie supérieure (ETS),  under the funding from the Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Centre for Security Science (CSS).
