Rules and Responsibilities

For VIPRA Cycling Project / Club 1^st March 2011

Club Name : VIPRA Cycle Club

Project Name : “ On Yer Bike “

Aims : To hold fortnightly meetings , carry our repairs at the community flat and plan suitable bike rides .

Meetings to take place between 6.30 and 7.30 pm, repairs to be carried out in the community flat either on meeting days or by special arrangement with Stephen Price or Ken Wormald .

No tools or equipment are to be removed from the community flat and members will be expected to supply at their own expense any new or spare parts needed for repairs .

In the event of a rider being late for a ride departure time the group will wait 15 minutes or 30 minutes maximum if we have been contacted regarding reasonable delays.

Any Children under the age of sixteen must be accompanied by a parent or Guardian and are their responsibility .

A child must be deemed capable, by their Parent or Guardian of completing the distance for the bike ride in question in advance of the trip.

In the event of a child not having the stamina to complete the ride the rest of the group will not curtail the outing in these circumstances except in the case of an extreme emergency. Therefore the Parent or Guardian will have sole responsibility in escorting the child home.

Children accompanying parents must wear a crash helmet !

Safe Off – Road Cycling will be sought wherever possible and as often as possible in the interest of health and safety and to cater for different ability ranges.

Golden Gates Housing Trust will be informed via written reports of Cycling Club activities

and our website updated accordingly.

Abuse of any kind from one member to another is unacceptable and may result in perpetrators being expelled from the club .
